A housing company topped a charity challenge after making a nine-fold increase on its money.
Isos Housing were top of the pile after raising nearly £5,000 for the Percy Headley Foundation after taking part in the foundation’s Challenge 500 initiative.
Percy Hedley gave each business taking part £500, from which they had to make as much money as they could in six months.
In total the nine businesses taking part raised just over £20,000 for Percy Hedley.
Jon Twelves, assistant director customers and communities at Isos and part of the fundraising team, said: “We’re a competitive bunch so of course winning the challenge is fantastic, but the real good news is that all of the money raised by all of the businesses involved goes to such a worthy cause.”
Isos’ fundraising events ranged from roller discos to sponsored cycles, raffles and a Valentine’s chocolate sale.
Even residents of the social housing company did their bit, hosting coffee mornings and table top sales.
Chrissie Anderson, also on the Isos fundraising team, said: “We set out to raise as much as we could and the little things really did add up.”
