A community open day at a borough care home was an international affair as home took part in Around the World themed celebrations.
Earsdon Grange care home in Wellfield, arranged entertainment and activities for visitors to sample throughout the afternoon including a line dancing performance, around the world themed fancy dress, live music and canapés and refreshments. Visitors also had the opportunity to tour the home and speak with the care team and residents.
The care home will host their summer fair on Saturday, July 19, from 2pm to 4pm, with stalls and attractions including a barbecue refreshments stand, arts and crafts, cake sale, tombola and raffle.
Home manager Nicola Bell said: “Earsdon Grange maintains strong relationships with our local community and we feel it is really important to create these bonds to allow our residents to retain their independence and role in the community.
Entry to the fair is free.
“We all had a fantastic day, everyone who came along said that they had a fun time and we hope to hold an even bigger and better event next year.”
