Two Whitley Bay youngsters were given the chance to put their feet up and relax on a behind-the-scenes trip to the filming of a television advert.
Brother and sister Amelia and William Howarth gave the ScS ads the thumbs up after winning a chance to see first hand what goes on.
Ten-year-old Amelia said she was a big fan of the company and wrote to them telling bosses how much she liked them, and how she practices acting out the adverts at home for family and friends.
ScS got in touch and offered her the chance to spend the day with the ScS team, film crew and, of course, the face of ScS ads, Victoria Thomas, to see what really goes on behind the scenes to make the ads.
Amelia and William, along with their mum Emma, attended the retailer’s store in Portrack Lane, Stockton, to get a behind the scenes tour and see firsthand how the ads are put together.
Lindsey Duncton, ScS marketing manager, said: “We were delighted to read Amelia’s e-mail and to hear how much she loved our ads.
“A huge amount of work goes on behind the scenes to develop our advertising campaigns and we thought it would be a great holiday treat to offer Amelia the chance to see what goes on behind the scenes and to meet Victoria, who features in our ads.
“The preparations for our autumn campaign were the perfect opportunity to invite Amelia and her family down to see what actually happens on-set to end up with the finished product you see on TV.”
Amelia said: “I was really excited to visit the ScS store and meet Victoria from the ads.
“The whole day was really fantastic.”
