Knock out success of UFC fighter visit

A Whitley Bay company is celebrating the knock out success of visit from a top UFC fighter.

Bad Boy welcomed their sponsored athlete, Alex Gustafsson, to meet fans in their intu Metrocentre store then held training seminars at the Bad Boy Training Centre in Felling.

The 6ft 5in Swedish giant, known as ‘The Mauler’, met more than 500 fans to sign t-shirts and pose for photographs ahead of his UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) light heavyweight re-match with Jon Jones later this year.

Bad Boy Europe provide elite and up and coming fighters with performance products. Founder and director John-Paul Gardner said: “We really enjoyed having such a legend and rising star visit us.

“We are a growing business and proud of our talented team based in Whitley Bay.

“We have some exciting plans in the pipeline too.”
