Construction students receive a visit from Buck & Hickman.

Construction students are building up their skills knowledge thanks to the latest visitors to their new training facility.

Pupils at TMC in Benton, TyneMet College’s new construction training facility, were the first in the north east to receive a visit from tools and products distributor Buck & Hickman.

Officials from Buck & Hickman introduced the students to the latest personal protective equipment and showed them how to wear and use the equipment effectively.

The students were also introduced to a variety of hand and skin cleaning products and were advised how and when they should be used.

A spokesperson for the training facility said: “The students were very interested in the live demonstrations of new technology and tools which were delivered by professional trades people.

“TMC are in communication with a number of local businesses with the aim of creating relationships so that students can be introduced to relevant companies that all the trades use.”
