A Whitley Bay business is one of the sponsors of a major conference for north east schools discussing local and national issues.
First Class Supply, one of the fastest growing independent supply teaching agencies, is one of the sponsors of the Rising to the Challenge 2013 Summit, organised by SCHOOLS NorthEast.
The conference, in its fifth year, is being held at St James’ Park on Friday, October 11.
There will be a number of keynote speakers, including former Education Secretary Lord Ken Baker, as well as workshops and networking during the day.
First Class Supply co-director Lesley Robinson said: “This year’s conference focuses on Rising to the Challenge, and that’s something we require our supply teachers to do all the time.
“Supply teachers play a huge role in schools across the north east and we’re proud to be part of the Rising to the Challenge Summit because the ethos of the event is very much at the heart of what we do.”
First Class Supply, which was established in 2004, employs two former headteachers to interview all candidates interested in joining the agency.
