Two brothers have become published authors thanks to inspiration from their mother.

Kai and Jacob Albertsen, aged six and four, took inspiration from their mum Maria – the owner of Ragheroes in Whitley Bay – to write the book The Magic Castle (The Adventures of Kai, Jacob and Jamie) with a little help.

The boys were keen to follow in the footsteps of their mum, who has written several books, and are keen to write more in this series.

Maria said: “All Kai and Jacob have ever known is of their mum running a business from home so it came as no surprise to me when they asked if they could start a business too.

“At first I was hesitant as they are so young, until they said they wanted to write books and sell them on the internet. I am very proud.”

The book is available on Amazon for Kindle, priced at £2.06.
