Magician's advice

STUDENTS at TyneMet college were given a motivational talk by Cramlington magician Kennedy at a special conference.

The Future Plans Conference at TyneMet brought together students from Burnside, Churchill Community College and TyneMet with the aim of reducing the number of 16 to 18-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training.

Kennedy, 23, was on hand to inspire the students with his unique motivational presentation.

The event was part of a strategy in North Tyneside which hopes to give people the support they need to continue in learning and preventing them from falling into the NEET group.

Thomas Cleghorn, North Tyneside EBP Development Officer, said: "Being a young and successful local entrepreneur, Kennedy is a great role model for young people.

"It is vastly important that these students are aware of the need to develop skills that will prepare them for the working life and set them on the way to a successful career."
