A man is in a critical but stable condition in hospital after being stabbed in Benton.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident, which happened at an address in Saint Andrews Court at 4.34am on Friday, August 29.
A 21-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, his condition is currently described as critical but stable.
Extra officers are in the area to carry out enquiries and speak to local residents and offer reassurance.
Acting Detective Inspector Michelle Robson said: “Officers are in Benton carrying out enquiries into the incident and speaking to local residents.
“If anyone saw anything in the early hours of this morning in Saint Andrews Court, I would urge them to get in contact.”
