Man stabbed in chest in Wallsend

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in North Tyneside.

A man was stabbed at 7.25pm on Thursday, March 27, in the chest outside an off licence at Warwick Road in Wallsend.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to the superficial wound.

Police are investigating the incident and at this stage it’s not believed to have been a random assault, enquiries are ongoing to trace the suspects.
