Missing man found in park

POLICE have confirmed that the man found in Heaton Park on Sunday was missing 48-year-old James Hunn.

Mr Hunn, had been living at an address on Cartington Terrace in Heaton and was previously from the Tynemouth area.

He was reported missing by a friend after he missed a lunch date and after not answering his phone or returning home over night police launched a missing person investigation.

He was found in Heaton Park on Sunday morning and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
