MP gives pharmacy’s services the thumbs up
NORTH Tyneside MP Mary Glindon took full advantage of the facilities on offer at a newly opened pharmacy in Wallsend by getting a winter health check.
Hadrian Pharmacy, part of the Norchem Group, has moved from the health centre in Addington Drive, Hadrian Park, to Hadrian Park shopping centre in order to incorporate its new services, including health checks.
And when Mrs Glindon called in to see what was on offer she decided to have her blood pressure checked.
Other health checks which can be carried out on-site, include those for diabetes and heart disease.
Mrs Glindon said: “The new facilities for Hadrian pharmacy are great.
“There is much more room for the pharmacy to incorporate bespoke services to support the needs of the local community.
“Having a comprehensive healthcare centre is integral to a community in order to sustain the relationship between the patient and their healthcare provider.
“Making sure there is a local and well established pharmacist like Eilis McGovern at Hadrian Pharmacy encourages customers to visit and hopefully talk more about their minor medical problems, in order to relieve them.”
