Young singers and rock bands will be showing they have the X-factor when they perform at a showcase next week.
Six talented singers and bands will be taking to the stage in the Linskill Centre, North Shields, on Tuesday, February 11, from 6.30pm to 9pm.
The event has been organised by the council’s Music Education Hub which runs rock and pop events for young people in the borough throughout the year.
It is part of the ‘Ban Boredom’ initiative that brings together groups and services to deliver activities, opportunities and places to go for eight to 19-year-olds or up to 25 years for those with a disability or additional need.
Tickets cost £3 are available at the door.
The event is open to young people aged between 11 and 18 as well as their families.
