A new look store is already proving a hit with shoppers.
More than a month after the Marks & Spencer store on the Silverlink Retail Park re-opened following a refurbishment, staff have noticed an increase in visitors.
The modernised store opened to customers on April 17, with the store’s space increasing in size by 20,000 sq ft to 60,000 sq ft.
The new-look store now includes a newly extended food hall, upgraded café, extended in-store bakery and newly added lines across menswear and womenswear.
Store manager Terri-Anne Rigg said: “The response to the new-look store from the local community has been fantastic.
“Customer feedback on the quality and range of products on offer has been very positive and our sales figures reflect this.
“Our shoppers are also enjoying being able to do their weekly food shop, while browsing the latest collections, all under one roof.
“Our extended M&S Café and Bakery is also going down a treat and scones have been flying off the shelves. Our newly added men’s suit department has also been very well received, as has the extended womenswear section that we now have in-store.”
