New ride for toddlers

PARENTS and youngsters at a borough toddler group have taken delivery of a speical new vehicle.

PSCO Tim Cousins and Neighbourhood Inspector John Smith delivered a toy police car to the Footsteps parent-toddler group based in Killingworth.

The toy car was funded by Northumbria Police’s Charities Committee to help give something back to the community.

Footsteps coordinator, Debbie Laird, said: “We really appreciate the support of our local policing team and this wonderful gift of the Little Tikes Police Car.

“Many Footsteps children will get immense pleasure from using it for years to come.”
