Pupils at a Cullercoats school have been taking inspiration from a famous artist to create an exhibition.
Youngsters at St Mary’s Primary School had an art focused week, using LS Lowry’s Fever Van as inspiration.
Eachb year group created rtwork using a different medium, and the childrens’ masterpieces have now gone on show as part of an exhibition at the school.
Deputy headteacher Liz Hollings said: “Pupils voted via a school website poll for Fever Van by LS Lowry to be the inspiration for the week.
“We always like to end it with an exhibition where the children act as curators, and take the parents around about explain their artwork.”
