Primary school pupils in North Tyneside are putting their creativity to the test ahead of one of the north east’s biggest ever pop concerts.

North East Live, headlined by Jessie J, is at the Stadium of Light on Sunday, June 22, and schools are getting involved.

As part of a special competition, primary school pupils have been working hard to design programmes for the show, with the most original and creative designs rewarded with tickets for the individual designer and their entire class, where they will have the chance to see Rizzle Kicks, Jason Derulo and The Saturdays.

Appletree Gardens First School in Whitley Bay and New Hartley First School in south east Northumberland, have already registered.

Connie Stamp, from Appletree Gardens, said: “This is a great opportunity for our students to showcase their artistic talents, with the added hope of winning tickets to take their entire class to North East Live, and I can’t wait to see what they come up with.”
