A new media suite is helping put a Wallsend school at the forefront of technolgy.
A special ceremony was held to officially open Carville Primary School’s new media suite.
North Tyneside Council chairman Coun Tommy Mulvenna was on hand to perform the honours.
Pupils presented and demonstrated a range of software packages to demonstrate how ICT is used to deliver subjects across the curriculum.
The media suite follows a £50,000 investment by the school, putting it at the forefront of borough schools.
Headteacher Paula Richardson said: “This project has been a significant investment for the school but it is already paying dividends in terms of our pupils’ learning.”
A spokesperson for the school council said: “We are really pleased with our new computer room.
“The room is lovely and bright and the computers are fantastic. We have lots of new software and are learning lots of new skills.”
