Shoppers have been making the most of the ‘new and improved’ M&S Silverlink store.
The revamped store opened last week, providing an additional 20,000sq ft of space.
The store has undergone a full modernisation, introducing an extended food hall, upgraded café and a bigger in-store bakery, as well as new décor and layout.
Store manager Terri-Anne Rigg said: “We are thrilled to be able to welcome our customers through the doors of the improved M&S Silverlink.
“The feedback from customers has been fantastic, particularly on the new look and feel of the store. We look forward to welcoming customers over the weeks and months to come.”
Elizabeth Hennessey, 47, from Cullercoats, one of the first customers through the doors, said: “I’m impressed with new-look store. I’ve always come here for my food shopping but I’ll now come to do my clothes shopping.”
