Santa fun run helps charity

Staff and students donned Christmas hats, antlers, elves ears and Santa suits to take part in the first ever TyneMet College ‘Santa Fun Run’.

More than 150 people took part in the one-mile run, raising £287 for the North East Autism Society, the college’s nominated charity of the year.

A prize for the best dressed Santa was awarded to student George Perkins.

Organiser Sarah Bennett said: “I was delighted that so many staff and students took part.”
