Seven arrests after Whitley Bay stabbing

 

Seven men have been arrested after a fight in Whitley Bay last night left two men with stab wounds.

Police were called to an address in North Parade in Whitley Bay at 6.05pm on Monday, April 28, following reports of a disturbance.

Officers attended and found that a fight between a group of people had been taking place.

Two men aged 19 and 39 years received knife wounds and were taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary and released after treatment.

Officers have been carrying out enquiries and have arrested seven men aged 19, 24, 28, 30, 33, 40 and 42 years, who are currently in custody still helping police with their enquiries.

Police are carrying out enquiries in the area and additional officers are on patrol to reassure the community.
