A specialist home and garden store in Whitley Bay is hosting a reggae in-store tasting event in support of World Music Day to mark its second anniversary.
Boda Home, in Whitley Road, will stage the taste bud Reggae themed session on Saturday, June 21, with in-store rum tastings and music.
The company, which started selling its goods at north east based markets, is looking forward to a busy summer.
Co-owner Jade Skeels said: “We’re big fans of reggae and Caribbean culture, so we thought this in-store tasting event would be a great way to celebrate our second birthday with customers and friends.
“We’re always looking to add new and exciting home and lifestyle products to fuel our customer’s imagination and expectations, so hopefully people will spot some new and exciting additions to their homes while drinking a free rum.
“Boda Home isn’t just about one section or one product, we’ve thought about the home as a concept and from food to drink and home improvements, we have it covered. We have a relaxed atmosphere and don’t take ourselves too seriously.”
The store has seen demand for its goods soar following its investment in the online alternative home, food and drink market.
“Boda Home takes alternative approach to what people can buy for their homes traditionally and we encourage people to put their own stamp on their homes and be confident with their identities,” added Will Skeels.
From Paella spices to Northumberland sausages, Boda stocks a full range of food based produce and has more than 250 different types of real ciders, perries and bottled beers – including all of the latest ales from the Cullercoats Brewery.
