Sport activities for youngsters

Young people are invited to take part or volunteer in the world of sport.

As part of Ban Boredom a youth-led sports club is taking place three times a week in North Tyneside.

Running during the evenings on a Thursday at Churchill Community College, Friday at Hadrian Leisure Centre and Sunday at The Parks Sports Centre, those aged 14 to 25 can join in competitive and non-competitive sports. Activities include dodgeball, handball, rounders, cricket, tennis, football and more.

Young Mayor Allen Oghene said: “It’s (Ban Boredom) a really good scheme to help young people to find exactly what’s going on for them in North Tyneside.”
