Sports centre re-opens after flooding

A NORTH Shields sports centre has reopened following flooding yesterday.

The Parks Sports Centre in Howdon Road, closed yesterday afternoon after water entered the building during flash flooding.

The building has now re-opened, however some parts remain closed to customers including the sports hall, gym, health suite and sauna.
