Staff at the Virgin Money store in Whitley Bay are holding a tea party to raise money for blood cancer charity Anthony Nolan.
The event, today (Thursday), is part of the company’s overall fundraising day for the organisation – the staff’s nominated charity of the year.
The pioneering charity helps save the lives of people with blood cancer, using their register to help match bone marrow donors with those who need a transplant.
Lynn Jones, store manager, said: “We are delighted to be hosting a tea party to raise funds for our corporate charity, Anthony Nolan.
“We look forward to welcoming our customers, their friends and family and in doing so raising funds for an excellent cause.”
