The ‘Whirlwind’ set to entertain snooker fans

ONE of snooker’s most famous faces is heading to Whitley Bay.

Fans’ favourite ‘Whirlwind’ Jimmy White will be at Whitley Bay Snooker Centre.

He visited the facility in Whitley Road before it opened earlier this year, and is keen to see how the centre is shaping up.

He will be at the club on Saturday, March 23, with play starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £25, including food at the interval, and are available from the club or by calling (0191) 447 0515.

There will also be an auction on the night for attendees to win a chance to play a frame against White.
