Tools worth £750 stolen from yard

TOOLS worth hundreds of pounds have been stolen from a backyard in North Shields.

Thieves targeted the house in Stormont Street between 4pm on Monday, February 6, and 9.30am the following day, stealing tools worth £750.

Their haul included a DeWalt 18-volt drill, Bosch drill, Black and Decker jigsaw, air gun, sander and socket set.

Police are appealing for potential witnesses to call them on 101 ext 69191.
