A top television comedian will be making an appearance at a borough pub this summer.
Tyneside promoters Creased Comedy have announced that the star of BBC Three’s Well Funny People, Lee Nelson, will headline their monthly show at Whitley Bay’s Berkeley Tavern on Friday, July 11.
The TV comedian, who is best known for his Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show on BBC3, in which he stars with his friend Omelette, traditionally plays small theatres and arts centres on extensive national tours, but will appear at the pub for one night only.
Creased Comedy organiser, Simon Buglass, said: “Some of the names we have managed to attract to our little club in Whitley Bay have astounded me.
“Getting Lee Nelson on is great – I’m sure he will go down a storm. I’m very excited about the future of our comedy club.”
Tickets for Nelson’s appearance at The Berkeley Tavern are priced at £15 and are available by calling (0191) 252 7755 or online at www.seetickets.com
