Two injured after masked raiders steal “substantial” amount of cash

TWO people suffered head injuries after being attacked during an armed robbery in North Tyneside.

A man and woman were injured following the incident at the Grey Horse Inn, in Front Street, Camperdown, at 10am today (Monday, February 6).

Two masked men – who were both wearing dark fleeces – broke into the property before fleeing with a substantial amount of cash.

Officers believe the pair made off in a dark coloured Ford Escort.

The injured pair were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries.
