Residents are working with planning officers at North Tyneside Council to prepare a management strategy to guide the future of Tynemouth Village Conservation Area.
Once completed, the strategy will be adopted by the council and used as guidance when making planning decisions.
As part of developing the strategy, those who live in, work in, or visit Tynemouth are invited to give their views on Saturday.
Community members involved with the project will be by the library on Front Street, Tynemouth, from noon to 1pm and 2pm to 3pm.
A ‘post box’ for written comments will be in Tynemouth Library until January 17, while there is a link to three survey questions on www.tynemouthvillagestrategy.org.uk
