Volunteers wanted at new centre

A CHARITY which supports young people with learning disabilities is looking for volunteers to help with their courses.

Pathways 4 All, based at the Rising Sun Country Park in Benton, offers help and support to those with a disability aged from newborn to 25.

They recently set up in the new Tim Lamb Children’s Centre at the park, and are looking to host more classes.

Charity founder Lynn McManus said they were looking for retired or young people with an interest in teaching to help at a homework club.

The centre also plans to create an allotment club every Saturday from the spring, with children being able to care for small animals and plant vegetables.

Lynn said: “As a new centre, with very big ambitions we have many other opportunities for volunteers as we are open seven days a week.”

Anyone interested in volunteering or wants more information should contact (0191) 280 8163.
