A new partnership is helping entrepreneurs find their feet online.
The link between Whitley Bay Customer First Centre and The Business Factory has resulted in free workshops to help people get their businesses up and running.
Ideas, finding customers, selling on eBay and using social media for business will be covered at the special free sessions held at the customer first centre, with bookings being taken now.
Coun Frank Lott, cabinet member for economic development, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for us all to bring an extra dimension of support to budding business people in North Tyneside, reaching out into the community and promoting the benefits of self employment.
“There are clearly recognisable financial opportunities in setting up your own business, there are also physical and mental health benefits from working for yourself and doing something you feel passionate about.”
The workshops available are: Advanced selling on eBay: Tuesday, September 16, 10am to noon; How to find customers: Friday, September 26, 10am to noon; Ideas for starting a business: Wednesday, October 8, 10am to noon; Using Social Media for Business: Wednesday, October 22, 10am to noon.
Places are free for borough residents. To book, contact Whitley Bay Customer First Centre on (0191) 643 5390, The Business Factory on (0191) 605 3110, or visit www.businessfactorynt.co.uk
