Macmillan to benefit from public support

I WOULD like to publicly thank customers of Marks & Spencer café at Silverlink and The Forum, Wallsend, who supported The Rotary Club of Monkseaton Centenary’s charity collections for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The magnificent sum of £1,950.54 was raised.

I would also like to thank the management and staff at both venues for their usual help and co-operation that we are always extremely grateful for.

Commercial concerns have had to reduce their support for charities dramatically because of financial pressures, which is why it is extremely important that voluntary organisations like Rotary redouble their efforts to help causes.

This is only possible with the generous help of members of the general public.
