Man injured in unprovoked attack by teenagers

A man needed hospital treatment after being assaulted by teenagers in an unprovoked attack.

Two teens had approached the victim on Cullercoats Bay and assaulted him, causing superficial injuries to his face.

He was taken to North Tyneside General Hospital where his injuries are described as not life threatening.

The teens are described as being around 13-years-old.

One is described as having blonde hair, was not wearing top but was carrying a grey hoody.

The second teen is described as having brown hair and wearing a blue tracksuit top with black bottoms.

Police are now appealing for information to the assault, which happened at 7.22pm on Monday, May 25.

Extra officers have been in the area carrying out enquiries and providing reassurance.
