A BOROUGH charity is drawing up an ‘Older People’s manifesto before the May 2 mayoral election.
And Age UK North Tyneside want older people in the borough to let them know what they would like to see in the document.
Charity chief executive Alma Caldwell said: “North Tyneside’s elected mayor is an important role with considerable power, we think it is important that the voice of older people is heard in the election campaign.
“The election presents an opportunity to ask all the candidates to commit to taking action to improve the quality of life of older people in the borough.”
