An entrepreneur who went it alone is now helping others boost their business.
After being made redundant four years ago, Maria Albertsen set up her own marketing business Ragheroes which caught the attention of Sir Richard Branson, being funded by Virgin Media Pioneers.
Now the Whitley Bay-bases entrepreneur is looking to help others with their own businesses through online marketing.
Maria is holding a marketing event at the Newcastle Falcons Rugby Club, in Kingston Park, on October 9, from 9.30am to 5pm.
Three guest speakers have been lined up to pass on their own experience, and a number of workshops which will focus on ‘cultivating a success mind-set’, ‘leveraging your time’ and ‘branding – getting it right’, amongst others.
Maria said: “I want to help others particularly parents to establish a home-based business so they are able to have the option to stay at home with their children throughout their early years whilst creating financial freedom.
“This is something I feel very passionate about and a choice I think all parents should have.”
