Residents in the west of North Tyneside are being invited to discuss local concerns with senior council officials.

Mayor Norma Redfearn is hosting an ‘Elected Mayor Listens Event’ on Thursday, October 22, at the John Willie Sams Centre in Dudley from 6pm to 8pm.

Joined by members of her cabinet, residents of the Weetslade and Camperdown wards can talk about what is important to them.

There will be an update provided including resurfacing works, major road works in the area and other local updates.

Residents will be able to hear about how dementia is affecting more people than ever.

Northumbria Police will also be on hand to discuss any issues.

Everyone who goes along to the event will have the opportunity to be entered into a free prize draw which will be picked later on in the year.

For further information, or to ask a question in advance of this event, contact norma.redfearn@northtyneside.gov.uk or telephone (0191) 643 5314.
