A MEETING is being held to highlight how the government’s new personalisation agenda could revolutionise the way social care is provided to people with learning disabilities.
A carers’ forum is being held on Thursday, March 31, at the Oxford Centre in West Farm Avenue, Longbenton, at 10am.
The event has been organised by the Learning Disabilities Federation.
A spokesperson said: “The social care system is under immense pressure at the moment.
“Huge current demand, massive future demand, huge funding pressures and significant cuts may be about to make themselves known.”
