FIVE generations of a North Tyneside family helped Moira Rollo celebrate her 100th birthday.

Moira was joined by family and friends for a surprise afternoon tea at the Dolphin pub in Tynemouth.

Born in 1912 in Percy Main as Moira Foster, she lived there until she married her husband William and they moved to Tynemouth. In 1971, she moved back to Percy Main, where she still lives.

Moira had three children – Beryl, Christopher and the late Billy – as well as 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
