Monkseaton High PE teachers undertake gruelling challenge to help flood damaged school – Video

TEACHERS from Monkseaton High school have been pushing their bodies to the limit - all to raise money for Langley First school.

Langley First school has been closed until September due to significant damage from the recent flooding that hit the borough only a few weeks ago.

At the moment, the pupils and staff are using Monkseaton High school until they can return to their own school and as part of making them feel welcome, the staff at Monkseaton High decided to put together a fitness challenge to raise money for the school.

Four PE teachers from the school completed a sponsored fitness event to raise money to help, which meant that between them they had to do 1000 press ups, 1000 sit ups, 26 miles on the bike and 1000 skips.
