Motorcyclist assaulted by youth armed with a pipe

A motorcyclist was assaulted by a youth armed with a lead pipe in Forest Hall.

The incident happened at 4.45am on Thursday, August 22, at the junction of Elizabeth Drive and Feetham Avenue.

A 27-year-old man on a motorcycle was waiting at the junction when he was approached by a youth who hit him with a piece of pipe, knocking him off the bike.

He suffered bruising to his leg and foot.

The youth is described as being in his late teens, about 5ft 9ins tall, of thin build. He was wearing a dark turquoise blue hooded top and a black scarf, and carrying a length of white or cream piping.

The youth ran off across the field behind Bannister Drive in the direction of Forest Hall.
