A new venture aimed at creating fun for friends and family is hoping to strike gold.
Pirate Escape is a live escape game where teams of between two and six people work together to solve various clues.
Based in Park View, Whitley Bay, it was set up by a group of friends who felt there was a lack of indoor activities to suit families other than the cinema or bowling.
Similar to the TV show The Crystal Maze, entrants have an hour to solve a variety of clues and challenges to find the hidden treasure and escape.
The test of logic and intelligence is also helping bring businesses together as part of team building exercises.
