NEWCASTLE United goalkeeper Steve Harper tells NewsGuardianTV why its a massive season for the Magpies and talks Euro 2012.

Harper, who’s one of the longest serving players at Newcastle, reckons the club needs to use the positive momentum it currently has and look to make some more quality signings to further boost the squad ahead of the Europa League campaign.

The shot-stopper, who’s due back for pre-season training in a few weeks time, believes the Magpies could lose up to six players due to contracts running down or expiring during the summer and admits they’ll need to be replaced if the Toon are to challenge on four fronts.

The veteran goalkeeper also backed Germany and Spain to face each other in the Euro 2012 final, but admits he believes the pressure got to England after their recent penalty shoot out defeat to Italy.
