Lesley Spillard, chairwoman of the Age Takes Centre Stage festival planning group, said: “Nominating a group or individual for an Age Takes Centre Stage Award is a great way to give older people the recognition they deserve for the many ways that they help to make our communities better places to live.
“The awards ceremony in October is always an uplifting morning and everyone who is nominated is invited and congratulated for what they do.”
Nomination forms are available in libraries and at Age UK North Tyneside, Bradbury Centre in North Shields or by calling (0191) 280 8484.
