THE north east’s top sports writers and broadcasters are set to face off on a football pitch to raise money for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.
On Sunday May 20, the two teams will meet at Hebburn Town, with all money raised going to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. There will also be a raffle, where people can win signed football shirts amongst a variety of prizes.
Andy Hudson, who’s organised the match, said: “It’s hopefully going to be a great day. Nobody wants to lose, but its all to raise money for a very worthwhile charity.
“I don’t think people have been training too hard for it, but it should be a laugh. Everybody’s welcome to come down and take in the game and there will be a raffle too.”
Kick off is 1.30pm and the bar opens at noon. Admission is £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
