Nothing can better Lord Collingwood

I HAVE read over recent weeks the various suggestions for the proposed types of sculpture which could be permanently placed on the Black Midden rocks at Tynemouth.

I take the view that the pristine beauty of this well known rock outcrop should not be adulterated and left for the benefit of our and future generations in its natural state.

Surely nothing can better Tyneside’s monument to Admiral Lord Collingwood standing on headland above the Black Middens as a truly impressive and unique sight to visitors entering and leaving our great River Tyne.
