A new creative space developed by three companies has been officially opened.

A party theme featuring green candy floss, animal crackers and the best of ’90s music greeted guests at the newly refurbished office space in Monkseaton.

This was a fabulous opportunity to become a bigger part of the local community

Known informally as ‘The Zoo’, it has been developed by sales training organisation Buzztastic Ltd, digital marketing agency Captivation Media, and copywriting studio KISS Copy.

North Tyneside Council chairman Tommy Mulvenna, who performed the opening, said: “I’m delighted to support the opening of this new workspace. Creative industries are becoming a major part of the economy in North Tyneside, and it’s a pleasure to see small creative businesses thriving.”

Steve Erdal, director at KISS Copy, said: “All three of the organisations represented by The Zoo started out in back bedrooms across North Tyneside.

“This was a fabulous opportunity to become a bigger part of the local community. We are way, way more than the sum of our parts.”

Victoria Fleming, of Buzztastic, said: “It’s great for us all to be taking this next step with our businesses, as well as building an opportunity for us to share our knowledge and enthusiasm – we’ve never had so many good ideas.”

Jess Wearn, director of Captivation Media, said: “I can’t wait to learn from my fellow Zoo-mates.

“We all compliment each other’s businesses really well and it’s a privilege to be sharing with Buzztastic and Kiss Copy; they’re such great businesses.”
