CYCLE-themed activities are continuing this summer for children and families in the borough.
Sustrans is working with the council to provide children with the skills and information they need to safely take to two wheels.
The cycle extravaganza, part of the council’s Summer of Cycling programme, continues today (Thursday) and Thursday, August 23, between 11am and 2pm, at the Rising Sun Country Park, Benton.
Activities include nature rides, story telling, ‘bling your bike’ and a pedalling picnic.
All activities are free.
Jemma Robinson, from Sustrans, said: “Walking and cycling for short every day journeys is a great way for children to get the exercise they need to keep healthy. We want to give them the skills to do that safely.”
“And let’s not forget it’s fun, too.”
