Pan-omenal bands are lined up for live performances in the borough

NORTH Tyneside will be alive to the sound of music this weekend.

Shoppers in the borough’s town centres will be able to enjoy live music performances this Saturday as part of a programme of events organised by North Tyneside Council to support businesses.

People in Whitley Bay should keep an eye out for Holly’s School of Steel and their ‘Pan-omenal’ steel pan performance.

The band, which features people of all ages and abilities, will perform along Whitley Road between 2pm and 3pm.

The LDF (Learning Disability Federation) Choir will be performing on the bandstand just outside the Forum Shopping Centre, Wallsend, between 11am and noon.

And the new Prospects Association Group from the Linskill Centre will be performing along Bedford Street, North Shields, between noon and 1pm.
