I would like to congratulate the Cloudburst Theatre Group on its performance of Geordie’s War at Whitley Bay library on Friday, October 24.
The play was a great tribute to the folks left at home who had ‘to get on with things’ during the First World War.
The hard-hitting facts of the struggle to survive to the worry of the boys fighting on the frontline presented a graphic story.
Amidst all this trauma of war the play managed to bring out the spirit and humour of what was left of family life at home.
The music and sing-a-long finale rounded off a poignant production. Well done.
